After a long Indian Summer we’re finally expecting some colder weather, so it’s time to get the coop ready.
Also, we’re getting a few more chickens tomorrow and I wanted them to feel right at home.
In a world full of chaos, distractions and the next big news on the horizon it’s easy to forget being in the moment. Being truly present mind, body and spirit. These beautiful animals have shown us so much and one of the main reminders/lessons they thought us is to be present and thankful for all that is life.
Oh what a wonderful gift it is. 🙏🏼

On Horses and spirituality.
Kristine asked some weeks ago what spirituality is for us? For me, among other things, it is seeing the divine in everything. Every moment carries within it a gift, it is up to me to unwrap it and find what it is. Even sorrow and disease carries within it a gift, if I manage to see it.
I have periods when I am a farmer and gardener, carpenter and shoveling horse shit and dog poo, at other times I am an artist. Wisdom and spirituality to me is to see the divine in all of it. And to be present in all of it, as the horses taught me. Not that I always manage to do it, but I am getting better at it and the animals help me. In honor of the horse and the unity between horse and human, I have made this drawing - "To elevate from earth, if only for a moment.." it's always quite interesting to see how one and the same piece of information/video/article can cause an incredibly variety of reactions. From "blessed and inspired" to "this is fear mongering of the worst kind".
They saw the same piece on information delivered/written by the same person. So is it the information itself or is it something else that determines how we react?
