Are you wrapping up your summer harvesting wondering what to do with all your produce?

Want to learn how to preserve the fruits (and veggies) of your labor?

Join us for our next webinar as we discuss food preservation. In this webinar we will be going over preservation considerations and preservation techniques such as fermenting, dehydrating and canning.

These webinars are hosted by our very own Allan Campbell, designer educator with Food Forest Abundance. The public webinars are for anyone who is interested in furthering their education in the homestead and permaculture world.

Our previous topics covered have been:

🌱 An in depth introduction to what food forests are; its different layers, its different functions, and what a return on investment would look like for you if you were growing a food forest.

🍄 Permaculture ethics and principles; guidelines that help us design our food systems. These principles come from ancient traditions, as well as nature.

🪱 Soil nutrition: the importance of soil health, the relationship between soil microbiome and the human microbiome and how to easily DIY homemade fertilizers that will bring life to your soil and your food forest garden.

🌺 Different types of abundance a food forest brings to our life and how it feeds into the abundance we experience in every other aspect of our lives.

🍂 And last week we covered fall planting, summer harvesting, laying fresh mulch, preserving food and so much more.

Join us next week for our next webinar!

FarmTales 43 - Bye Bye Billy

Time to say goodbye to Billy, he has spread enough DNA on Big Bear Farm.

Thankfully, Billy is going to a wonderful home we know very well where he will be free to spread more of his DNA;-)

Kiara and her husband AJ are spending the weekend and we hung out with the animals until it got too cold.

Typical for Tennessee we left the house dressed for a certain temperature when only 30 minutes later the temperature had decided it’s winter again.

It was also determined that 2 of the newest 3 kids are boys - we named them Howard and Richard.

Which gives us around 5 months to build a new fence and separate them from the girls or it will be Billy Bob all over again.

Lots of projects on the horizon in the next few days…well, after the next few days, as soon as it gets warmer.

More to come soon.

They saw the same piece on information delivered/written by the same person. So is it the information itself or is it something else that determines how we react?

Kristin and I talk about it in today's Sunday Sermon right here 👇🏽
